Fellowship program description: The objective of the Advanced Pediatric Nutrition Fellowship is to provide in depth, evidence-based training in pediatric nutrition, to further optimize the nutritional care delivered to children. This one-year fellowship is directed toward individuals who have an interest in academic medicine and offers both clinical and research opportunities in clinical nutrition. The educational goal is to train physicians who will become experts in advanced pediatric nutrition in order for them to be able to serve independently as consultants in the field and develop academic careers at physician clinical nutrition specialists. At the completion of the Advanced Nutrition training, the fellow is expected to be eligible for becoming certified as a Physician Nutrition specialist by the American Board of Physician Nutrition Specialists or other clinical nutrition boards.
