Lindy received her M.D. from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2005, and in 2008, she completed Pediatric Residency training at Vanderbilt. She then served as a Pediatric AIDS Corp Physician with the Baylor International Pediatric AIDS Initiative in the small African country of Lesotho for two years and went on to pursue an MPH at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, and to complete a Pediatric Nutrition fellowship at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. During this time she maintained connections with Vanderbilt, collaborating on projects in Guatemala and Nicaragua. She has had the privilege to serve as a medical provider, educator, and consultant in several countries within Africa and Latin America in the areas of HIV, general pediatrics and nutrition. Her current role is as faculty in the division of General Pediatrics at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital where she serves as director of the pediatric weight management clinic, and contributes to other initiatives regarding education and programming in nutrition and global health.
